1. Consistency & Reliability
- Commit to a regular schedule
- Provide advance notice if a session needs to be postponed (communicate with players and mods)
2. Preparedness
- Be ready for each session and plan for the established duration
- Be familiar with the rules of D&D 5e (or the chosen system) and make sure any homebrew rules are pre-established and noted for users
3. Use of Platforms
- Have some sort of visual platform
- Make sure chosen platform is easy for user and provide help to those who need it
4. Player Management
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment
- Handle player conflicts fairly and calmly, with assistance from moderators if needed
5. Communication
- Stay active in the campaign Discord channel and help new members with any questions.
- Respond to messages from players in a timely manner
- Help us foster a vibrant and welcoming community
6. Content Guidelines,
- Avoid content that is excessively graphic or offensive
- Follow community rules and maintain a PG-13 to R tone depending on the group, with clear consent from all players
- Include appropriate warnings for excessively graphic or intense campaigns
7. Session Management
- Run sessions that aim for a 3–6 hour length (or as agreed upon)
- Do your best to stick to the session time announced
- Start on time and keep the pacing engaging
8. Feedback Friendly
- Be open to player feedback and willing to adapt for group enjoyment
- Provide feedback to the server mods about your needs or ideas
9. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Work with mods to recruit players if needed
- Onboard players with session 0 or a quick setup overview*
10. Creative Freedom Within Limits
- You’re free to run homebrew or modules, but major thematic elements should align with the server’s tone or campaign umbrella (if one exists)*
